Clean Combustion Ltd is developing the FLIP Hydrogen Platform™ in Shropshire: a British-engineered approach to producing hydrogen at the point where it is needed. The project is built around a simple idea – instead of relying only on large centralised production and transporting compressed hydrogen over long distances, FLIP is designed to enable modular local production close to the customer.
At the heart of the platform are compact FLIP Cells and modular cartridge assemblies. FLIP systems are being developed across a practical 5 kg to 100 kg of hydrogen per day output range, allowing customers to select a size that suits their needs and expand capacity as demand grows. The modular architecture is intended to make hydrogen production scalable, efficient, serviceable and suitable for repeatable manufacture.
Modular
Compact FLIP Cell modules combine to create the output required. Designed for simple servicing and future upgrades.
Scalable
5 kg to 100 kg of hydrogen per day. Capacity can expand as customer demand grows.
Point-of-use
Hydrogen is produced close to where it is needed, helping reduce dependence on transported hydrogen.
